As we prepare to launch our 2026 Stewardship campaign, we’re taking a look back at 2025 to celebrate how we lived into our mission to be “Grounded in God’s Love, Serving Neighbors Far and Near, and Welcoming to All.” The GOOD NEWS is that our church continues to be a welcoming place for all seeking to be a part of a faith community where the gospel message is lived out, and where we work together to build a world grounded in justice, equity, kindness, and love.
In 2025, we officially welcomed 10 new members, with a dozen others joining us for the first time and now attending regularly. We also increased our visibility in the community with the installation of a new sign in front of our church with our “Welcoming to All” message and rainbow. Our newcomers continue to share that their primary reason for coming and staying is our commitment to this extravagant welcome – in our worship, in our service to others, and in our words and actions as people of faith. One potential “sign” of our increased visibility: we welcomed 500 people at our Christmas Eve services this year, which is close to 100 more than last year and wonderful to see!
Our Church School and Youth programs are thriving under the leadership of our Director of Youth Ministries, Larissa Riley, as new families continue to find their way to our church. Our summer Vacation Bible School grew yet again, with 63 participants from our church and the community, including a crew of 21 teen helpers. Our Junior and Senior Youth Groups continue to grow and serve, helping with community events, church fundraisers, and in June, our SYG teens traveled to North Carolina to help with hurricane cleanup. Our nursery and pre-school and elementary classrooms are bustling on Sunday mornings as well, providing a welcoming space for our children to learn and our young parents to connect.
Our Stewardship theme this year is: “Imagine Together”
As individuals we may not always recognize the impact we have in the lives of others, yet as a faith community we’re called by God to be a force of transformation in our world by imagining all that we can do when we pool our efforts. Each of us, through our individual gifts and the many ways we employ them, power this sacred work. In the coming weeks, we’ll be hearing more from our Stewardship Team about the many ways we can support our church’s mission through our financial generosity. May the GOOD NEWS of this past year inspire us as we consider what we may have to give!
Sincerely,
