The Rev. Maureen Frescott
Maureen began serving our church in March 2012, as our Associate Pastor. Our congregation called her to be our Senior Pastor in May 2019. She was born and raised in Long Island, NY. She was raised as a Catholic, and cultivated her ministerial skills as a Unitarian Universalist before finding a spiritual home in the United Church of Christ. Maureen is a graduate of Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Center, MA, where she received a Master of Divinity in May 2011 and was honored to be chosen as the Commencement Speaker. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies from Sacred Heart University, in Fairfield, CT. Maureen has served the wider United Church of Christ as the Moderator of the Hillsborough Association of the NH Conference, and as the Co-Chair of the Hillsborough Association Committee on Church and Ministry. She loves preaching, teaching, and being a listening and caring presence in our congregation and community. In her downtime, Maureen loves to bike, hike, run, read, write, and all things related to Star Trek. Maureen lives in Amherst with her spouse, Stephanie, a teacher and administrator at the Academy for Science and Design in Nashua, NH. They have two kitties, Vex and Pike.
