Sara Phelps

Sara has been on the music staff since 1991. She is director of our Chancel Choir and Youth Choir program. Additionally she coordinates music for worship with the pastors; Michael Havay, our organist/accompanist; and Wendy Valeri, our Handbell Choir director. She received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Hartwick College and her Master of Arts in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting from the University of Massachusetts. Sara is the volunteer coordinator of Congregational Care, overseeing the critical and ongoing concerns in our church family. This involves meals, transportation, pastoral visits and correspondence. She is a licensed nurses’ aide and a Home, Health, and Hospice volunteer.

Sara and her husband, David, live in Merrimack, where they raised their family. Their children attended church at CCA and were active in our thriving Senior High Youth Group.
