Testimonials
I can’t tell you enough how much your Home Starter program is helping the community. Our clients are incredibly grateful. You all are alleviating not only the financial burden but the emotional toll of living in a virtually empty apartment. Thank you!

I wanted to especially thank you and the folks at CCA that helped our client recently with many furnishings for her new place in Bedford. Your group is such a blessing to so many! Our client was amazed and could not say enough good things about all of the help you all gave her.

This trailer was purchased with a special donation from Bruce Beckley's estate for World Service, and approved by his family. The back of the trailer has the church logo and "In honor of Bruce and Sharon Beckley" on it. This trailer allows us to expand the Home Starter mission by moving things in a safer way, and in inclement weather.
August 5th: Big day today! Pretty much cleared out the storage unit to help out a family of eight!! They all helped carry, lift and move the furnishings. Delightful, grateful family. They had been renting all of their furniture and paying 30% interest. This will definitely help them to get back on track.
What is the Home Starter Program?
The Home Starter Program is a ministry of the Congregational Church of Amherst, NH, UCC. Our mission is to collect household goods to assist those in need transitioning into independent living. All work is provided by church volunteers or interested community members.
Who Does it Benefit?
We work with various service agencies who reach out to us when they identify a family or individual in need of our items.
