In April, our worship theme is “Have Courage” and our scripture focus will be the story of Doubting Thomas (John 20:19-31). Thomas is often chastised for expressing his doubt that Jesus had been resurrected from the dead, but it took great courage to do so. And it took additional courage to live into his faith once he did believe. Where do we find the courage to both question and live into our faith?
On the third Sunday of every month, our 10:00 am service is a special “Creative Worship.” We come together as the community of Christ to worship God with meaningful music, communal prayers, and an engaging message. While all of our worship services are creative, these special services are more informal, interactive, and shorter than our traditional service, and each has a theme to frame our worship. Our worship themes match our church school theme for that Sunday, and after a special Children’s Time, children will go off to their church school classes.
For 2021-2022 our overarching theme is Be A Blessing – each month will have a different focus statement/scripture to inspire us to be a blessing to others by serving God.
