CANCELLED: Woman’s Association ‘Good Stuff’ Sale
We are sad to report this year’s Good Stuff sale has been cancelled. Thank you for your support.
In order to be welcoming to all, our Re-opening Task Force has established in-person procedures to keep us safe as we gather. Please read our In Person FAQ for procedures, and answers to questions you may have about in person worship.
To ensure all that want to can attend worship, we are continuing with our virtual services. There are 3 ways to watch our worship service recordings.
Further information on how we continue to be a church family virtually can be found HERE
Calling all 5-7th graders! Middle High Youth Group (MHYG) is starting up again this fall, and you’re invited to join us!! MHYG is a time of fellowship and faith formation that meets on the third Sunday of the month from 1-2:30pm.* This year (just like last year) MHYG will be a socially distant, in-person, outdoor program, until Covid-19 conditions improve.
*The first meeting of the year is on September 26th from 1-2:30pm. (yes, that’s the 4th Sunday. Every rule has an exception!)
At a time in life when most tweens are struggling to figure out who they are, what they like, who to be friends with, and what to believe, MHYG is a sacred space to learn, grow, and have fun. MHYG offers kids a safe place to explore their spirituality, form deep relationships, and let loose through fellowship, games, check-ins, and sanctuary time.
ALL 5-7th graders are invited—whether or not they attend CCAmherst! MHYG kids are always welcome to bring friends.
Email Pastor Kate for more information.
Teens Grades 9-12 are invited to Senior High Youth Group (SHYG), Sunday evenings from 4-5:30pm.
Our first official SHYG meeting will be Sunday, September 19th at 4:00pm outside in the Memorial Garden. Until the weather says otherwise, SHYG will be meeting outside for socially distant, in-person SHYG meetings, featuring games, highs and lows, spiritual time, smores, and more!
SHYG is a time of fellowship, fun, and faith exploration. As always, friends are welcome, whether they attend this church, any church, or none at all! SHYG is a place to connect socially and spiritually for teens, no matter who they are or where they are on life’s journey.
Email Pastor Kate, or text, for more information!
These workshops are informal meetings at which members and friends of the WA gather to prepare for any upcoming events or to just enjoy the fellowship of the group. Those who can stay past noon should bring their own lunch. Coffee, tea and dessert are always provided. At the first meeting on Sept. 9th we will hold a Fair Planning meeting, beginning around 11:00.
All church and community women are welcome to attend on any Monday. Anyone with questions about the Woman’s Association or the Workshop can contact Adrienne Topliffe (603-673-7436).
1st Tuesday of every month. Details for the virtual meeting will be sent by email.
Is the OLD Testament still relevant today? Who wrote it and why? This fall, we’ll continue to take a NEW look at the OLD Testament through this video lecture series produced by the Great Courses. We’ll explore the writings of the prophets, the poetry of the Psalms, the wisdom of Proverbs, the suffering of Job, and how we might see the entire Old Testament as one grand story. These dynamic lectures, given by Robert D. Miller II, Professor of Old Testament at The Catholic University of America, examine the original contexts and give us a new look at these ancient texts with a fresh perspective.
We’ll watch the video together as a group and then have a discussion facilitated by Pastor Maureen. The class will meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. We’ll meet on Zoom but anyone who feels comfortable gathering in-person at the church is welcome to do so (masks are required). We’ll have a computer set up in the parlor so the gathered group will be able to see and hear those gathered on Zoom. All are welcome! Please RSVP to Pastor Maureen to receive the Zoom link, or access the link on our church website in the Members Section using the “Zoom Mtg Links” button and look for Wed Adult Ed.

On the third Sunday of every month, our 10:00 am service is a special “Creative Worship.” We come together as the community of Christ to worship God with meaningful music, communal prayers, and an engaging message. While all of our worship services are creative, these special services are more informal, interactive, and shorter than our traditional service, and each has a theme to frame our worship. Our worship themes match our church school theme for that Sunday, and after a special Children’s Time, children will go off to their church school classes.
For 2021-2022 our overarching theme is Be A Blessing – each month will have a different focus statement/scripture to inspire us to be a blessing to others by serving God.
