Anyone interested in becoming, or just thinking about becoming a member of the Congregational Church of Amherst, UCC, is cordially invited to attend one of two orientation sessions scheduled for Thursday, October 17 and Wednesday, November 13, at 7:00 p.m. in the parlor. New members will be formally received on Sunday, November 17. For more information or to sign up for one of the orientation sessions, please contact Andrea (673-3231)in the church office. Child care is provided for infants and toddlers, starting at 9:40am, in our fully staffed nursery during Sunday worship service.
The sacrament of Communion is served the 1st Sunday of the month.
Everyone is invited to enjoy fellowship and refreshments in the community room following Sunday services.
We are collecting new and used coats to be donated to local organizations to help families in need. During worship next Sunday, we’ll bring the coats forward as part of our offering. A collection box will be in the Narthex for those who’d like to drop off coats during the week.
Join us in the Community Room after worship for fellowship and to learn more about how our church teams are involved in mission work.
These workshops are informal meetings at which members and friends of the WA gather to prepare for any upcoming events or to just enjoy the fellowship of the group. Those who can stay past noon should bring their own lunch. Coffee, tea and dessert are always provided. At the first meeting on Sept. 9th we will hold a Fair Planning meeting, beginning around 11:00.
All church and community women are welcome to attend on any Monday. Anyone with questions about the Woman’s Association or the Workshop can contact Adrienne Topliffe (603-673-7436).
