Sleigh Bell Marketplace Auction – Woman’s Association
This online auction, sponsored by the Woman’s Association, will be open for bids from 9am November 6 through 8pm November 28. Please check it out to enjoy easy shopping for unique gifts and local items. Proceeds from the auction will support church programs and local charities.
Some of the items to be offered include Amherst memorabilia, holiday and home decor, antiques, art, jewelry, toys, gift certificates, Red Sox tickets, a visit from Santa and more. In order to be welcoming to all, our Re-opening Task Force has established in-person procedures to keep us safe as we gather. Please read our In Person FAQ for procedures, and answers to questions you may have about in person worship.
To ensure all that want to can attend worship, we have several ways you can participate in our worship service:

Teens Grades 9-12 are invited to Senior High Youth Group (SHYG), Sunday evenings from 6-7:30pm.
SHYG is a time of fellowship, fun, and faith exploration. As always, friends are welcome, whether they attend this church, any church, or none at all! SHYG is a place to connect socially and spiritually for teens, no matter who they are or where they are on life’s journey.
Email Pastor Kate, or text, for more information!
These workshops are informal meetings at which members and friends of the WA gather to prepare for any upcoming events or to just enjoy the fellowship of the group. Those who can stay past noon should bring their own lunch. Coffee, tea and dessert are always provided. At the first meeting on Sept. 9th we will hold a Fair Planning meeting, beginning around 11:00.
All church and community women are welcome to attend on any Monday. Anyone with questions about the Woman’s Association or the Workshop can contact Adrienne Topliffe (603-673-7436).
Is the OLD Testament still relevant today? Who wrote it and why? This fall, we’ll continue to take a NEW look at the OLD Testament through this video lecture series produced by the Great Courses. We’ll explore the writings of the prophets, the poetry of the Psalms, the wisdom of Proverbs, the suffering of Job, and how we might see the entire Old Testament as one grand story. These dynamic lectures, given by Robert D. Miller II, Professor of Old Testament at The Catholic University of America, examine the original contexts and give us a new look at these ancient texts with a fresh perspective.
We’ll watch the video together as a group and then have a discussion facilitated by Pastor Maureen. The class will meet every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. We’ll meet on Zoom but anyone who feels comfortable gathering in-person at the church is welcome to do so (masks are required). We’ll have a computer set up in the parlor so the gathered group will be able to see and hear those gathered on Zoom. All are welcome! Please RSVP to Pastor Maureen to receive the Zoom link, or access the link on our church website in the Members Section using the “Zoom Mtg Links” button and look for Wed Adult Ed.
